CheRi Backpackers Hostel

The hostel was super clean and everything was tidy and orderly. The free drinking water and coffee was a huge bonus and the hostel was situated in a convenient location on Panagsama Road.

It wasn’t the most social of hostels, but the host was incredibly friendly, kind and always willing to talk about her country and her people, which I appreciated.

We did not have any problems while staying here and Jazel always made sure you were good! She is reachable and very communicative. The budget couple room had everything we needed and it was well worth the price. Thank you for all the help!

- Has water dispenser - Cold AC - Has 3 Bathrooms shared to everyone - Close to other places around Panagsama, may be a bit of a walk to others. - They got a few books you can borrow to read - Common area

- There’s a rental fee of 50 Pesos for the Bath Towel when it should be part of the amenities. - VERY THIN LINEN and Rough (Blankets), so the AC was so cold and we can’t even adjust the temperature due to some reason the staff said so we were uncomfortable sleeping due to the cold and thin linen. - They don’t provide KEYS for your room. - Blankets (VERY THIN LINEN) weren’t ready when we arrived, had to ask for it to be provided to us

The rooms were fine.

First: door in one of our rooms needs to be kicked in order to get in. It was a private room in the cornermost part of the hostel. Cr door was also not functioning properly. Second: The kitchen area was so dirty, slippers were everywhere, not sanitary at all. Third: the assigned personnel was not at all accommodating. We had 2 dorm rooms but only told us we can use 1 bathroom for all 12 people? She keeps knocking in the dorm rooms to collect payments when she can just wait for us outside, we were resting! Also, she is not polite. Asked her where to wash our feet since she stopped us from entering our room because we have sand on our feet (ofc we went swimming) she just said we wash "outside" no directions at all as to where the faucet is! My friends were very disappointed to when they were told not to adjust aircon temp because it might cause water dripping outside the room, i dont think it's our fault if facilties are not working well. We actually paid the right price only for us to be inconvenienced like this. Lastly, when we were about to check out, I asked her where to placr the food we prepared in separate plates for the poor strays. She told us to place it far from the hostel because she does not like feeding strays. "Samok man gud magpakaon ana nila pareha atong gipakaon ninyo gabii nangari nuon" the place was ok, the personnel was not
