"Clean, comfy and spacious unit in a peaceful location"

We stopped at Duck Cottage for a night on our way from Gisborne to Wellington. It was perfect for us. We have two kids under 3. They enjoyed walking round the paddock to see the animals and there were several toys and games to keep them entertained. The unit was clean, comfy and spacious. Lovely drinks in the fridge and a wonderful breakfast was provided. It was a great restful stop in a rural location. Would definitely stay again.

"A slice of country paradise"

We booked Duck Cottage for a visiting Locum’s accommodation and were thrilled with her feedback. The cottage was beautifully set out, in a lovely peaceful country setting, with all the facilities of home. Our guest enjoyed fresh duck eggs as part of the continental breakfast,which was a real treat. The cottage was a convenient distance to town for all her needs, but this was hardly needed as the fridge was well stocked with refreshments. Duck cottage was described as a palace when compared to the local motels. After such fantastic feedback, we will definitely be booking Duck cottage for future locum accommodation.

Beautiful setup cottage for our family stay over. Host was very helpful checking all was well. Comfy bed, kids slept well on the fold out couch bed. All the amenities you could want or need on your stay, including wifi, aircon, and coffee machine! We enjoyed a beautiful breakfast with fresh eggs from the farm chooks and ducks. My daughters loved seeing the animals. We look forward to staying there again in the near future.

Beautiful tranquil spot, gorgeous decor and super comfortable amenities. Private, peaceful space to enjoy a night away. We loved the little extra touches and delicious breakfast and coffee provided. We'd love to return with our child as well for a slightly different experience in the future - she would love it too. 🙂🍄🐐 Thank you for providing such a lovely space!

Very well appointed, breakfast supplied including duck and chook eggs, quiet, lovely rural setting, spacious. We just felt we were in a home away from home. The owner was super helpful.

I don’t think there was anything I didn’t like about the place or the cottage.
