The building is absolutely beautiful inside, shiny and immaculately presented. The family who own and run it were lovely, really friendly and helpful. The room was enormous and looked out on to a pond, it was so quiet you could hear the birds and bugs! There are fairly priced snacks in the room, complementary water every day (and a filtered refill point downstairs), a kitchen (we didn't need as there are loads of glorious small local eateries in the area - get on Google Maps to find somewhere that suits your tastes!), and it's only a 5- minute walk to the Meridian Gate to enter the Imperial City. The family organised a laundry run for us, which cost 100k VND (about £3) for two bags of laundry, the service was brilliant, it was picked up from our door before we went to bed and was returned to our room the next day. Would recommend this lovely place to anyone visiting Huê!

The main bed is a little on the hard side, we're used to a firm bed so it wasn't a problem for us but I can understand why others have complained.

One of the rooms really stunk of mould. It was really hard to communicate with the owners, as they didn’t speak any English.

Good location - very close to Imperial city. The room was basic but perfect for what we needed. Modern style room. The staff were helpful and very friendly

Bathrooms could have been cleaner and there was no hot water.

Clean, comfortable, quiet and private. I liked the location behind the Citadel. The area has colonial remnants and an easy, local vibe. Lots of little cafes and food vendors in the area. The price is great value compared to the noisy part of town.

A little disappointed with the inaccuracies in Booking.com. I arrived soaking wet on a motor bike looking forward to washing and drying my clothes in the room as per the inclusion of amenities. There is no such thing. Nor is there a fridge or minibar as described. Perhaps it is an oversight in translation as little English is spoken. They washed and dried my clothes for 20,000d per kilo, which is quite affordable for a hotel. But still not as convenient as being able to wash ALL my clothes including those I was wearing. The beds are pretty hard as well despite being a thick mattress.

New homestay, clean, all amenities are new, bed is very comfortable, quiet place without karaoke or loud sounds, close to the palace by walking.

It is not a big thing, but the room we had was without window; walls are thin, but overall it is quiet so it was good to sleep there.
