Ascott Manor

Excellent facilities. Each room was well appointed, with air-conditioning, en-suites & TVs. TVs had all the channels I like. Loved the lounge with the reclining seats. Absolutely everything we could possibly need / desire was provided. Beautiful pool, terrace & braai area. Quiet neighbourhood. Plenty of parking. Safe & secure. Felt like top-notch luxury for a very reasonable price.

Whilst the housekeeper, Portia, was a lovely, friendly person, it was sometimes intrusive, having her let herself in the kitchen while we were there. Filling up water bottles, getting stuff out the freezer etc. Took away some of the feeling of privacy somewhat. (Maybe I'm just not used to having a housekeeper).

Big beautiful yard, spacious house

Location was in the right area. House was big and spacious.

House was not ready on our arrival. Housekeeper was still doing chores in the house, while we were trying to settle in. Security was compromised while the garden services were there. Cupboards were not cleaned out from previous guests. Exposed wiring at electrical outlets. Swimming pool pump cover was left open and exposed, and electrical box uncovered with wiring exposed, too. Clocks on the wall did not work. We could not use a shower in 1 of the bathrooms, as it was broken. Lights were not working in another bathroom. Aircon's were ineffective. Empty alcohol bottles were left around the pool. Cockroaches and other insects in the kitchen.

This was our home away from home! We loved it & wished we could extend our stay. Portia & Johanne were great..lovely ladies They were always available if we needed or queried anything. The House is very spacious & has everything needed for self catering.. The beautiful paintings in every room caught our eye. Beautiful furniture & esthetics. Happy to see an Airfryer amongst all the other necessary appliances in the kitchen. Bedrooms, Ensuites & Bathrooms were all clean ..Towels, Bodywash & Shampoo were provided. Towels were washed & replaced everyday of our stay. House was cleaned up everyday by Portia . There was a Large TV, Netflix, board games, Boombox so much more that kept everyone entertained! Outdoor Pool was clean. Every room has aircons which helped with the summer heat. Definitely will be back for a longer Stay. Highly recommended.
