The Nautilus

The location is stunning, right on the beach front. We stayed on the top floor and watched the sunrise in the morning. It was amazing.

The view

I was surprised that this was a 5 start hotel, as I have stayed in many hotels and motels over my career and this was not up to the usual 5 star standard. The bathroom was a very sterile environment - minimal complimentary products, nowhere to place your toiletries and everything tiled. The bed sheets didn't quite fit the bed properly and I needed to be adjusted several times each night. I stayed for 3 nights.

Great location, friendly staff, room had everything we needed.

Room was on bottom floor next to road so was was quite noisy at night with cars going past.

Dated decor - room finishes were tired and getting old.

The room was comfortable and had an amazing view. The location was great and we enjoyed our stay there. Right across the road from the foreshore so you could walk along the walkways, through the parklands on the lawn or walk by the beach.

The fact they could not guarantee breakfast.
