Anglers Riverfront Motel

My review is not about a stay, but about the customer service at Angler's. We were traveling through and about three hours before stopping for the night, I booked a night's stay here. Due to the set up of the place, the check in was closed when we arrived and we were not able to check in. I had booked this stay with a no refund policy. I tried calling, but there was no one to answer. We were very disappointed as this looked like such a unique place to stay and now we had no room for the night. We ended up having to go farther down the road to find somewhere to stay. It took a couple of phone calls, but I was able to speak with a few very kind women who took great care of me. They refunded my money without hesitation after hearing what happened. Beware that this is not a normal hotel with 24-hour check in. You will want to make sure ahead of time that you will be able to get into your room. However, due to the customer service and the attraction of the place, we are going to try to re-book at some point and stay here.

We had a nice adventurous stay! It was in the country, enjoyed the river view, the food was very good. We stayed for two nights but the restaurant was only open on Sunday (it was nice they recognized Mother’s Day with a carnation and dinner specials)! Monday they were closed. Went to another restaurant down the road. When on motorcycles it’s nice to eat in on the premises especially due to rain. They were kind enough to let us borrow their vehicle to tour the area and to go to dinner! Thank you for your hospitality!! I would stay here again and maybe go fishing! The bathrooms are a little small and could use a little updating otherwise than that a quaint little place!

Property was conveniently located between the city of Mountain View and a popular spot Blanchard Springs.

The mattresses were old and sagged in the middle. The sheets looked like they had not been changed. The room had a balcony that overlooked the river and it had furniture on it. It would have been nice to sit outside and enjoy the weather we had this weekend, however, the furniture was dusty and covered with pollen. The outside of the facility had torn and worn carpet on the stairs and the balcony and nothing appeared to have been cleaned in some time.

The mattress was horrible. The furniture on the patio were broken.
