Casa Catania

The apartment was quite in the centre of Catania, 2 mins from a Metro station and only 10mins from the centre. It was very clean, the building was very quiet and easy to find. The hostess, Rita, was very nice and she even let us stay after check out time, as the apartment was still free. Breakfast was not included in the price. But there was a shop right opposite where we could buy breakfast things.

There were some things that could have been better. There was no kettle, no microwave, and no napkins to dry the breakfast things. Also not enough towels.

The position.

Many things were broken inside the apartment including the pipes of the toilet that were leaking water. The electricity counter was also stopping to work when overloaded

Location just 20 m from metro station. Flat are quite big.

Electricity problem , making blackouts when you using for example air conditioning in two rooms together. You must go downstairs and Fix the fuses. When i was doing that i met another guy who tried to Fix electricity aswell, but he cant do that ,probably the owner didnt pay and they cut electricity.Rooms in that condominium are managed by one lady. She doesnt care a lot cause she is not the owner. Internet not working, probably owner didnt pay. You must pay by cash if not there will be extra charge for paying card.

Host very helpful. Handy for catching the Metro into the city centre but be aware that the Metro closes by 9pm.

Situated in a residential apartment block.

The appartement was ok and clean.

We had the worst experience with the host ever. The host took 30€ because of «late check in» which was at 10 pm, and 20€ for cleaning, but it wasn’t mentioned anywhere on booking, neither about late check-in nor about cleaning. I would not recommend to stay in Casa Catania.

It was right next to the subway so you could get on and go to the heart of Catania in a few minutes. Rita was very friendly and accommodating.

The whole complex building was a bit worse for wear, and the room could stand for a deep clean. The shower door track had some gunk in it. The towel rack ripped right off the wall when we were setting our towels on it.

The owner was wonderful, apartment has everything you need, we enjoyed it very much! Location was also good, near main attractions. Pleasant surprise was that you can find free parking around the building in peak season, owner explained how parking works in Catania.
