Khali Estate

Beautifully located, with the best sunset views. The property itself is sprawling, with ample space to sit and unwind. It feels like a space with a lot of character, a lot of history. The staff is extremely helpful. I almost didn’t book the place because I read that the food is pure veg. As a hardcore non vegetarian, this worried me a bit, but if you’re like me, I’d like to put your fears to rest. Yes, the food is vegetarian, but it’s so tasty, healthy and wholesome that at no point did I miss meat.

Nothing in particular. The Wi-Fi is extremely weak and there is close to no network, but for me that just helped because it kept me in the present. I couldn’t scroll mindlessly, so ended up reading 2 full books from their library, a habit I’d been promising myself I would get back to.

Surrounded by deodar,calm and mesmerizing

The location, the warmth of the people who run the place, the sense of belonging, the rooms, the estate itself, the view from the rooms. Honestly, it's difficult to find fault. If you are ok with a relatively remote location (reaching the place may take long if there is a traffic block in the hilly roads.. we took around 5 hours) and being totally immersed in nature, this place for you.

The Khali Estate is nestled inside the Binsar Bird Sanctuary. The Property is Splendid No words to describe. It’s Historical. Existing since 1806 from the British Era. The Rooms are well appointed with necessities. The Hospitality of the Staff is excellent. The Food is Homely very Tasty. Overall great Stay and Experience. We also did a Bird Walk through the Forest with Deepak who is a naturalist and was excellent.

It is a lovely, and restful place to stay inside Binsar reserve surrounded by forest and amazing views. It has a strong character of an old estate with lots of history and very attentive service. We had a beautiful cottage with a balcony view of the Himalayas, comfortable bed….hot water bottles to warm up your bed at night was a welcome touch as it got chilly at night The place was quiet in early March (before summer season begins) and we really enjoyed eating dinner in front of the fireplace and having breakfast outdoors on the patio overlooking the valley Interesting architecturally and historically?

Nothing really! It was easy to get transport to other places in the reserve from the hotel staff
