Posizione incantevole, immersa nel verde, tranquilla e silenziosa per ricaricarsi e rilassarsi. Ugo e la moglie sono stati gentilissimi e sempre sorridenti. Ambienti e camere arredati in stile rustico, curatissimi nei particolari e pulitissimi !

La piscina se occupata da famiglie con bambini purtroppo non consente di essere fruita in pieno relax...ma non è colpa dei proprietari!

The place is beautiful, immersed into the green Umbria hills and surrounded by sunflower fields. Newly renovated, it has a traditional rural atmosphere while showing a nice modern touch. The owner is very friendly and staff is helpful. There is a beautiful little pool, overlooking sunflower fields. Room is pretty big and also bathroom is big and modern.

Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable. Breakfast is good quality but it gets served only from 8 am which makes it hard if you are an early riser.

Absolutely EVERYTHING We travel a lot and visit many places, and I can truly say this one has exceeded all our expectations. The rooms are not only beautifully and tastefully decorated, but the whole property is stunning – from the gorgeous gardens to the wonderful pool. Being here feels like living in a fairytale. Next year I’ll be back with my best friend, because this is a magical place – a place where we truly relaxed and felt so warmly welcomed. The lady serving cappuccino in the morning with a smile is an absolute treasure, and the kind owner made us feel completely at home. Everything we could’ve dreamed of was here – even the bikes we requested were waiting for us, ready to go. If we had eggs for breakfast, it would have been 200% perfect – but that’s just a joke 😉 because honestly, we didn’t miss a thing. Alina & Robban Grazie !

For a relaxing get-away-from-it-all holiday, Il Borghetto is perfect! There are wonderful views all around over rolling countryside, with olive groves, vineyards, fields of barley, sunflowers. Apart from the song of birds and crickets, and the occasional farm vehicle, it is really quiet and peaceful. The lanes around have very little traffic which make them good for walking. The pool is beautiful and a good size. We stayed in the single-storey one-bedroom cottage, which was really spacious and clean, with air-conditioning in the bedroom (bliss in 38°!). Ugo was very welcoming and helpful. We had breakfast on our first morning as we hadn't got provisions in yet. It was excellent value for money at €5. There are a number of restaurants in the area but, the good ones at least, need to be pre-booked. Al Leone, 10 minutes away in Collazzone, was our favourite. A car is essential and most places to visit are at least 30 minutes away, but that is what makes it such a retreat. However, there is a lot to see in the region and we visited Todi, Perugia, Assisi, Terni (Wednesday market), the Marmore falls, Orvieto, Lake Trasimeno, toured a traditional olive oil mill, and went truffle hunting. We would have gone to Rome (less then an hour by train from Terni), but we decided to give that a miss as it was far too hot during our stay.

The kitchen area was a good size but the equipment was a little scant. It would have been nice to have a microwave and a filter coffee machine. If there had been more breakfast options, eg fresh fruit, etc., we would have paid for breakfast more often.

Our room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was excellent as the weather was exceptionally warm for June! The property has the most stunning views and it is very peaceful. Perfect location and lovely swming pool.

Beautiful breakfast with a lot of choice. An idyllic countryside setting with beautiful views. The apartments and rooms are set well apart, affording privacy and tranquility. A good range of restaurants just a short drive away, including one that is within walking distance.

We had a wonderful stay. Stunning location, comfortable and clean room, delicious breakfast, and such warm hosts. We came by taxi, which was a bit unconventional but Ugo kindly helped us call a taxi a for our departure day. We also had a lovely time renting their bicycles for a tough (hilly!) but beautiful ride through the Umbrian countryside. Following that ride with a cool dip in the pool and a glass of wine with a view was absolutely perfect. Communication through Booking.com was also very helpful and prompt. Thank you, and we hope to return!
