Stay was comfortable very great location and amazing hostess

No signage, difficult to locate.

The house has history and was previously owned by an interesting author and politician. There are books and pictures that tell the story of the original occupant so the feel is of living in a piece of history. While not easy to find the house is well located and easy walking distance to all the attractions in Stonetown. It is a relaxed and friendly environment. The breakfasts were huge.

The facilities are adequate although the door to our room was not particularly secure. A bit noisy during the night because of proximity to the street.

Staff,Location & breakfast was perfect

There is no mosquito net on the bed & The room door needs to be renewed as there are gaps that allow mosquitoes to enter the room.

It was a great stay in Stonetown! My mom and I are particular, especially when it comes to cleanliness - Hanaia was clean, staff was amazingly helpful and the owner went out of her way to show us somethings we wanted to check out. Plus you can't beat the value! we stayed downstairs in the standard rooms but if you don't mind steps I might recommend upstairs deluxe rooms. I had researched Stone Town thoroughly and after reading about bedbugs and issues at other places almost gave up on staying there - luckily Hanaia was there for us! Stone Town is a bustling, tight knit town no matter where you stay. because the building are old - I would recommend earplugs if you are a light sleeper like me. Oh another great thing about Hanaia was how close it was to the road - stone town is a bunch of small roads where only scooters or pedestrians can go - so no cars! Getting your luggage to the hotel can be tricky depending on where you stay this was very easy with Hanaia.

The room was clean and decorated nicely. The location is very good it’s a close walk to the downtown. I felt the room was secure as the room bolted as well as the exterior door. There are restaurants in the area.

The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all the whole time I was there. I also could not get hot water in the shower. After the manager/owner settled me in the room there was no one on site I was by myself in the building. Also, breakfast was included in the booking however when I was met at check in she told me it was $10. I never ended up doing breakfast there because no one was around.

It has a great location. You can yust walk to the all tourist attraction and to just explore around.

Bad Wi-Fi, our room was facing the street and was a lots of noise all the time
