"Exceptional"

Very comfortable hotel, spacious room, with refrigerator, air conditioning, and fan! The host, Deepak, is a very kind and generous guy, very helpful and available. He helped me a lot, gettjng around on his motorbike due to the 44°C heat, to visit sites, go to restaurants, ATM etc.. He also gave to me a lots bottles of water for free. Morever he organized a tour for me in the Thar Desert. My checkout was at 11:00 AM, so he let me use the room until the evening because I had a night train to Amritsar.. Amazing guy. I've never received service like this! Of course, I recommend everyone, if you ever visit Jaisalmer, to stay at; Golden Villa by Deepak!! Thank you very much.

Deepak was an excellent host, nothing was too much trouble. We struggled with the heat, but he ensured we really enjoyed our stay. It was exceptional value for money and I would recommend it. The only thing that let it down was the dodgy plumbing.

"Ok stay while in Jaisalmer, but could be a lot better with just a little effort."

Great location, comfortable beds, and very friendly staff.

Room and facilities don’t live up to photos on listing sadly. Note that there is no balcony on ‘balcony rooms’ - just doors that open on to a ledge maybe a foot in width, that not even a seat could fit on. Hotel in general is really noisy - no sound proofing or soft furnishings to absorb any noise so wasn’t a peaceful or relaxing stay. Communal rooftop area was very rundown, a shame given the potential with size and view - lots of empty space and just some grotty old chairs and a couple of tables, not particularly comfortable (bought breakfast each day and it was tasty though).
