Draai at Assegaai Cottage

Ein nettes Cottage mit eigenem Garten und Zufahrt. Freundliche Kommunikation mit der Eigentümerin. Sehr umfangreiche Einrichtung. Es fehlte nichts. Feuerholz für Kamin und Barbecue vorhanden. Lage ist sicher und sehr ruhig. Schöner Blick vom Schlafzimmer in den Garten. Schöne bequeme Veranda. Aircondition vorhanden was sehr hilfreich war bei den aktuellen Temperaturen. Zwei zusätzliche Betten auf einer Dach Empore. Treppe ist aber recht steil für kleine Kinder. Self check in möglich mit Schlüssel Tresor am Eingang.

Das Häuschen und die Einrichtung ist leider in die Jahre gekommen und auch abgewohnt und bedarf zahlreicher Renovierung. Die Gemütlichkeit und die Ausstattung hat aber ihren eigenen Charakter und Charme und lies uns über einiges hinwegsehen, was wir normalerweise nicht durchgehen lassen würden.

Loved the garden setting, the braai facilities and utilities offered. We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The Cottage is spacious and had everything we need! Loved it for a relaxing afternoon and evening.

Out of the hosts control we had a power outage during the evening due to the wild fires. This meant minimum light and no water as the water system is linked to electricity.

Location was great, very close to the attractions in Tsitsikama. Enough space for five people, All physical furnishing and kitchen equipment was available. We also felt safe with the lockable sliding high gate and fence around the property.

Although it had an air-conditioner, it was still very hot inside, particularly in the loft, as can be expected on a hot summers day in South Africa. There was an expel air fan in the loft that helped, but possibly a bigger one or maybe a mini-split air-conditioner up there would’ve been helpful.

Location was perfect. Beautiful area. Loads of activities in the area.

Maybe mosquito nets as an option. The stairs are much steeper than seen in pics, not that we had an issue.

The property is very private and feels homely.
