Lovely garden, gorgeous dogs, chickens and birdsong

A little noisy near the township; wish the bed had been firmer and bigger

The space has a lot of natural lighting. The fireplace is cozy and the supplied wood was appreciated. The kitchen is well equipped and the dishwasher was an unexpected plus. Host is friendly and the garden is well maintained and great to walk around in. The couch that converts into a bed was useful and comfortable.

Because the property uses rain water , the water pressure was rather low. There were debris in the drinking water , so had to opt for bottled water during the stay. The rain water collection tanks are right behind the cottage, so mosquitoes are an annoyance. Just need to be careful when using the driveway as there is a bit of a bump / ridge where the gate is. The row of windows in the main bedroom could do with a small curtain.

Spacious and comfortable with a great verandah and garden. Perfect spot to enjoy the area from. Highly recommended.

We were not made aware of loadshedding in the morning. We informed our host that we would like to leave at 7.45 am as we had activities booked. Unfortunately, because of loadshedding, there was no water. Without a shower, with not even a cup of coffee, we had to start a day full of activities. We tried to contact the host who said they would be bringing water across. Sadly, that only arrived at 7.45 am when we had to leave. When we met the previous day, the only thing the host explained was the TV in which we were not interested in the least. Very unprofessional, take it or leave it service.

Loadshedding

It was self catering. Beautifull, peaceful garden scenery. Just what you need to relax ! Everything we needed was in the neat and clean cottage. Also a very friendly host who responded quickly when we communicated. Will definitely recommend staying here.
