Riad Sabrawa

Fabulous location, really easy to get to the sites and very close to some wonderful restaurants.

Location was perfect, just slightly out of the centre of the Medina meant it was quiet, but still close enough to walk to almost all the main attractions - this also meant it was quieter which was lovely. Being any closer to the medina it would feel very chaotic. The decor was beautiful and calming - a breath of fresh air when you've been in the busy-ness of the medina. One day we walked into the Riad to birdsong and jazz playing - beautiful! The staff were really lovely, kind, and helpful.

The light breakfast was lovely, but it would be nice to be presented with some options or for it to feel a bit more balanced, nutritiously, as it was a lot of bread.

It is a lovely riad nearby the central area of Marrakech which is extremely convenient (a 7 minute walk). The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. I would definitely be back at this riad in the future!

No major issues but there was room for improvement. When we checked in, we weren’t shown around the riad and just received the key to access our room. The bathroom doesn’t have a ledge on the shower which leads to water going everywhere. Also, breakfast starts at 9am but it would be great if it started earlier especially if you’re going for excursions. They did offer to do breakfast early but we didn’t want to interfere with the schedule. Lastly, on the day we left the riad our taxi was outside - the staff told us we needed to pay for service tax which we would’ve preferred to be notified when we checked in as we didn’t have time to waste as our taxi was waiting for us to take us to the airport.

Our stay was absolutely delightful, situated right in the heart of Marrakesh. The ambiance was homely, with a stunning interior that provided a peaceful retreat for restful nights. Houssain welcomed us warmly and consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort which was very appreciated.He offered invaluable tips on places to visit and dine, and it was always a pleasure to converse with him. We will definitely stay in this Riad again.

Increíble experiencia, todo el personal muy amable, lugar discreto y silencioso, la habitación impoluta y buen tamaño, las camas también cómodas. Desayuno tradicional marroquí. Desde luego cuando volvamos repetiremos experiencia, está a escasos minutos de la plaza Jemaa El-Fna y lo suficientemente alejado para no oír el bullicio de la plaza.

The riad is beautiful, very good location and it felt really safe. It is a 30 second walk from a square where taxis can pick you up. 10 minute walk to Jemaa el-Fna. The room was a good size, very clean and the beds were really comfy. The breakfast was delicious, we had it on the rooftop each morning. Abdul and Lhoussain were wonderful, very kind and helpful with recommendations. We also met the owner Julian who was lovely. The riad is new and has been designed to be accessible for people with disabilities. There is a lift which we were told is not a common thing in riads. We would highly recommend staying here, it's a calm oasis in the middle of bustling Marrakech and we would love to return one day :)

The property was beautiful and close proximity to most interesting places. However, I have to mention that the highlight of my stay was LHussein who went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable. He really is a credit to Riad Sabrawa.
