Chiara House

I was traveling for work for a week and was able to safely park my car in their gated home with no problems or worries! The home is spacious and had everything we needed. They even had board games that my husband and I played every night! Barga’s “old town” was a convenient 10-15min walk away from both casual and upscale restaurants (our favorites were La Loggia del Capretz Bistrot for lunch & Wine Not for dinner). We explored nearby towns and even drove a bit further (~40min) to Lucca - highly recommend spending the day there!

Great house in a lovely city. It is located in a quiet area near to the old city center. The house is clean and well equipped. We received a welcome gift and a lot of help from the hosts. I can totally recommend Chiara house :)

The apartment is beautifully presented, spacious, and very comfortable. The furniture - beds, sofa, dining table and chairs are all modern, and very comfortable. There are also some tasteful antiques pieces, so it feels quite like a home, not a rental apartment. Tea and coffee were provided, as well as a lovely bottle of wine and local biscuits! The kitchen area functions well and you could easily prepare a simple meal if you wanted a quiet evening at home. There is safe and secure parking within the garden, and you can walk up to the centre of Barga in 10-15 minutes. Our hosts were there to welcome us on arrival.

There was nothing we did not like! The apartment is very quiet, and cool. The windows are high, so you cannot look out, but this adds to the sense of privacy, and the natural light is good.

We loved the proximity of the property to the pool - we spent most of the time there, then headed into the old town in the evening on foot.

A washing machine for clothes would have been ideal for us

We had a great time staying at Chiara house. It was beautifully clean and very comfortable. The location was near to shops and restaurants and the hosts were exceptional, so lovely and helpful.
