Ein wunderschönes Hotel in einem angenehm ruhigen Ort, umgeben von Natur. Man sollte sich bewusst sein, dass die Lage etwas abgelegen ist und es fußläufig keine Geschäfte gibt – doch genau diese Ruhe mitten im Dschungel hat uns besonders gefallen. Zweimal haben wir problemlos über Uber Eats Essen bestellt, außerdem konnten wir uns einmal direkt über das Hotel einen Roller ausleihen, was alles sehr unkompliziert war. Die Gastgeberin Hiresha ist unglaublich herzlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Bei all unseren Fragen und Anliegen hat sie uns jederzeit bestens unterstützt. Ein ganz besonderes Highlight unseres Aufenthalts war ihre Einladung zu einem buddhistischen Fest mit Umzug, zu dem sie uns gemeinsam mit ihrer Familie am Abend abgeholt hat. Eine so außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft haben wir noch nie erlebt – dieses Erlebnis war eines der absoluten Highlights unserer Sri-Lanka-Reise. Wir können dieses Hotel allen, die es gerne ruhig und naturnah mögen, von Herzen empfehlen. Vielen Dank nochmals an Hiresha und ihr Team für diese unvergessliche Zeit!

Location and solitude

Wunderschöne Unterkunft im Jungle. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und haben eine tolle Aussicht in die Natur. Das Personal ist wirklich hervorragend und extrem hilfsbereit und hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Der Perfekte Ort zum entspannen und wohlfühlen!

The quiet location, size of the room, size of the breakfast 😀, cleanliness, quality of the bed, warm water powerful shower. It is perfect value for money, an excellent option if you don't want to be stacked somewhere between the masses in Unawatuna itself but 8 km away.

The isolation is also a disadvantage: you have to organise things like shopping, lunch, dinner etc. You can use their kitchen, but there is no restaurant nor is there one closeby. Although they can order food for you, it is actually not a hotel but more like a B&B or a shared villa.

Hiresha and Sudeera made our stay at the property a delight, looking after our every need. Transportation, food, recommendations, everything. The property itself is stunning and spotless and the true meaning of Boutique. It's a little way from the beach but it's in the jungle with no sounds other than the wild life. There are little extras with this property that are noteworthy, the use of the kitchen if you like or the laundry room.

Quiet, nice and brand new hotel. Stuff is extraordinary kind, the food was brilliant. If I ever meet the owner, i'm going to ask him who planned the bathrooms :) Honestly we had nothing to complain. On top area around the infinty pool was the perfect place to chill after a long day! Make sure you take a tuk tuk to the beach and go swimming with turtles, best expierence during the whole vacation!

We initially planned a 4-day stay at Samalanka Boutique Hotel, but the captivating allure of this place made leaving impossible, extending our retreat to a full week. Located in a breathtaking locale, the warm hospitality from the staff, Malin (the manager), Sudeera and Sarath, made our experience exceptional. Malin treated us to a nutritious breakfasts featuring fresh fruits, omelet, bread, and spreads. The standout was the exceptional coffee, arguably the best we've had in Sri Lanka. Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, Pink Elephant in Unawatuna delivers meals promptly at reasonable prices. The option to use the kitchen for personal cooking is also available. Situated approximately three kilometers from Habaraduwa, the hotel provides easy access to essentials like Cargills, restaurants, and the beach. We opted for scooters from Easy Bike, but the staff is more than willing to arrange tuktuks for convenient transportation. For those seeking a relaxing escape in the South Province of Sri Lanka, we wholeheartedly recommend Samalanka Boutique Hotel!
