Very charming family that lives above this unit. They try really hard to make you feel welcomed. The place is spacious. Very unique experience living in the the beautiful dense greenery of the Sri Lankan coast. I recommend asking them for their tuk tuk driver friend, if you don't want to pay the tourist tax, most tuk tuk drivers charge. Also we loved their yard, it was beautiful and their dog shelley was a joy to play with (if you're not a dog person, they will keep her in the back of the property where you won't be bothered) Great place to go if you want to unplug from city life.

The family was very kind and friendly, they helped me with everything and even brought me something to drink or eat every afternoon while I was teleworking.

I had a fantastic experience staying at this property, and a big part of it was thanks to Ihara and her wonderful family. They were so warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Their hospitality truly made my stay unforgettable. The location is perfect—just a short stroll to the beach, restaurants, and supermarkets, making everything super convenient. Ihara also offers scooter rentals at a very affordable price, which was a game-changer for exploring the area. A special mention goes to their adorable dog, Chelly! She’s the sweetest and adds such a homely, comforting vibe to the property. The accommodation itself is spotless, cozy, and well-kept, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a home away from home, this is it. Highly recommend staying here!
