TWThe location was great for skiers. Totally ski in/out (上の台), and 2 rental stores are just nearby (Best, Jupeer). No need to carry your gears for a long walk in the snow.
Google map led us a fast route however kinda tough (hills) for travelers that had big luggage in snow days from the terminal bus station.

THJPIf you are happy to pay premium prices for bunk house quality, then this place is fine. The location is right next to the lifts and slopes. The room was a tatami room, with a carpet over floor and two foldable beds put in. The pillows are made of plastic beads, as is a Japanese way. When I asked at reception for an alternative pillow I was told " The hotel has a pillow shortage" and there was not one available. To be fair to the bead pillow, it was more comfortable than expected. The beds were not made when we arrived, but bed sheets and towels were provided. (Not exactly what is expected for 22000 yen a night) The reception was functional at best and the communal showers are in the basement. We didn't use them because we visited the onsen, 400 meters away. (600 yen per person) The communal toilets were clean but shabby. Location is great, but overall leaves a lot to be desired for the price.
