No breakfast provided. The view was very spectacular.

We stayed in the farm house. Heating system was not good. Very cold when we arrived. The steps to the 2nd floor bedrooms were dangerous to climb.

Der Ausblick auf den Fjord war überwältigend. Es hat alles gut funktioniert.

Wij hadden een appartement met zicht op het meer gevraagd. We betaalden voor 3 nachten ongeveer 900 euro. We kregen een appartement dat onder het gebouw zat en op een gemeenschappelijk terras uitkwam. Vlak naast onze deur stonden de rokers en een brandende barbecue. Het appartement had geen raam. De potten, borden en glazen stonden vuil in de keukenkasten. We hadden na het schoonmaken 2 kleine lepels, 3 messen en 3 vorken en slechts 1 ontbijtbordje. In de oven stonden nog resten van een pizza. De kleine raam in de slaapkamer met zicht onder de trap naar boven en de inkomdeur kon je verduisteren met een gordijn die niet meer echt ophing maar aan een paar haakjes hing. In de badkamer stond een wisser zonder rubber. Dus je moest de badkamer droog maken met een ijzeren latje.

Location

The location is great, high on a hill overlooking the fjord. The famous Stegastein Lookout is just another 7 km up the same road.

I can only talk about Apartment C - a one bedroom apartment. I can’t comment on their many other styles of accomodation. That have many smaller cabins as well as larger apartments, and what appears to be hostel accomodation with shared cooking dining facilities. The latter was right next door to us so we had a stream of people walking past our door - some clearly lost and peering in. Our apartment is tucked into the ground level corner of a 2 story building & has no windows- or rather one opaque window in the tiny bedroom looking into the back of possibly a garage. The only other natural light is from the glass door. There is a sofa pointing at a blank wall. It has all the ambience of a cave. There were wet towels left in our bathroom when we arrived. The reception staff ignored me for an unreasonable amount of time. One of my worst ever experiences at a Reception. Communication before was poor. Messages from me went a went unacknowledged and unanswered. All at a cost of much more than we’ve paid per night in Norway for vastly better accomodation.
