Amaya Residence Jimbaran

Great location .. close to the ocean

Rooms are very bright and the building is old. My “shower” didn’t have a curtain and it was in the tub. Seemed like there was a renovation that wasn’t well thought out. Give this place a 6 or 7 / 10.

The staff were nice and welcoming.

Our aircon was broken the entire time we stayed, it leaked water and spat ice everywhere, there were big bugs in the room when we arrived, the water smelt really bad from the shower. We complained and a staff member said we could be redunded some money but now they are telling us different after we’ve checked out. Overall it was a weirdly run hotel with rooms that were not as advertised. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The running water smelt ROTTEN EGG. I jumped into the shower before I understand the smell is coming from the shower. I itched a lot and my skin turned red. I showered with bottled water woke up in the night because of the mold smell. This place can not keep up working like this. The staff and the location are ok. But its dirty and water must be fixed. It was a nightmare

The staff is friendly and very helpful, the room is large, there’s a bathtub, and the bed is very comfortable. Short ride to the beach and lots of restaurants. Fast internet and the room comes with a safe. Short walk to Pepito market and the best massage in town - Zia spa.

The bathrooms have a smell. Some rooms have it worse than others. The light outside the rooms doesn’t go off until 5 am, hard to get a good night sleep unless you cover the doors and windows with something or/and have an eye mask.
