Deniyaya National backpackers hostel

The owner was amazing and very helpful in arranging a tour to sinharaja and he was also more than ready to help us with any problems that arose in our further travels.

The room was sadly not very clean and the bed was very small. It looked worse in person than it did in the pictures, slightly misleading.

Budget price Nice garden to sit Restaurant& Bakery inhouse with beer availability. Owner could share some info on the places to visit. (for bus schedule do verify at Bus Stand)

Common space is also restaurant's tables, so also for customers. 6am the close-by monastery starts to operate

The blue and pink curtains, wooden pergola, and beautiful garden views add a touch of whimsy and warmth to the rooms.

The place is very nice, outside the city center but close to everything. The buses to go to the jungle pass in front of the hostel. They have their own bakery right there in the hostel, and everything is really good, also the local food. You can sit on the terrace and see many birds around. The place is very peaceful, and the best part is the workers, but especially the owner of the place, who is definitely the nicest person

- it was very private - the personnel was super friendly - we had a terrace by our house

- there is a temple nearby so it can be pretty loud early in the morning

this has been the best place I have stayed in over the past 16 months I’ve been travelling. Mahesh is amazing and the Garden is so beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here I will be back !
