Swell Shacks

I celebrated my birthday at Swell Shacks and they made it so special! We got welcoming and celebratory drinks which was very thoughtful. Also enjoyed the pool and lounge area very much! The food was great, staff were welcoming, the views were exceptional and we really enjoyed our time there. Definitely will be coming back!

Loved the vibe, interior, it’s just like in the pictures. Close to all the places we wanted to visit. We had a couple of small issues in the room which staff quickly attended and resolved, which was helpful.

I would suggest making the breakfast more varied and offering a larger selection. When staying for six days, having the same limited options every morning becomes a bit uncomfortable. At times, it also felt like there wasn’t quite enough food. A more diverse and plentiful breakfast would make the experience even better.

I really loved the peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful beachfront location. The villa design was stunning, very clean, and felt private. The food also good. The pool area was especially relaxing, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

I LOVED this hotel. Directly on the beach where you can watch surfers or turtles. The sunrise and sunset was incredible. The rooms were spacious, cool, and a unique design. The pool is picturesque and it always feels quiet. The breakfast was delicious and so were the strawberry daiquiris. I recommend staying here if you want to travel along the beach locations in the south.

The shampoo and conditioner didn’t make my hair feel good. I would recommend bringing your own!

⚠️ Think twice before booking — the main problem here is the staff and the way the property is managed, both in the hotel and the restaurant. If you want a calm, relaxed, and stress-free stay, read this first. Even simple requests met with attitude, and the overall atmosphere felt unprofessional rather than welcoming. What made this more concerning was that one of the individuals involved, who we were told is the owner of the business, lives on the property and appeared to allow — and even welcome — this kind of approach rather than resolve situations properly. As he told us himself, “If you saw the negative reviews, why did you come?” Our stay began with being given a room completely different from what we had booked, with a strange smell, weak AC, and right next to the parking area, where you could not even properly open the curtains because it became see-through. After we raised this, we were told the property was fully booked, yet another room later became available after we had a call with the person managing bookings. Later in the stay, we were unexpectedly pressured late at night to make a payment despite having been told earlier that payment would be made at checkout. We booked despite the negative reviews regarding staff, but after this experience it became very easy to understand those reviews — and why the same problems keep happening. If respectful service and a relaxed stay matter to you, I would strongly recommend considering other options in the area.

Расположение на первой линии прямо у океана, не верьте тем, кто говорит, что купаться нельзя - в океане сделаны «ванны» в них прекрасно можно понежиться))) завтраки вкусные, но немного не хватило разнообразия. Если вам хочется уединения - точно выбирайте этот отель!!!

1. Пришлось 3 раза менять номер - в первом не работал кондей, во втором был плохо слив, после нам дали семейный номер - это было топ!! 2. Завтраки вегетарианские все-таки маловаты да и разнообразия бы чуть больше. Не хватило фруктов на завтрак - просто свежих

On the positive side, the pool area is very pleasant and a great place to relax. The beds were comfortable, which made for good nights of sleep, and the view of the beach is definitely a highlight of the stay.

The WiFi connection was quite weak and unreliable. The design of the cabins limits privacy, as the main window faces the central path and nearby cabins, making it difficult to open the curtains comfortably. While the staff were friendly, they were not very attentive or proactive. We also rented a bike from the hotel, but it was old and not functioning properly, which was disappointing. The breakfast menu is quite basic and could use more variety. Additionally, we experienced a significant issue with ants in our room. The beach nearby is great for surfing, but not ideal for swimming due to rocky conditions. Lastly, the location is about 15 minutes away from Mirissa, which may be inconvenient depending on your plans.
