Location and the view was the main reason for choosing this property, no complaints here. Nice sunny balcony, until mid afternoon, and sheltered. Great equipped kitchen (but no strainer) tea and coffee, and a lovely shower, but as has been said before, it is very slow draining, maybe needs a plunger or pipe cleaning fluid putting down as the trap is spotless.

The bed, even thought it was massive, was very hard, not comfortable for us. Also the sofa was also very hard, a two seater, so if there are 4 people staying here then 2 would be on the dining table chairs. A few condiments in the kitchen would have been nice, not even salt and pepper provided, this I found very unusual for such a great kitchen.

I booked this apartment last minute on the day off due to my original booking cancelling last minute. They met me for check in not long after I booked and were very helpful and accommodating :). I had a few questions throughout my stay and they always replied promptly and in a friendly way. Very clean inside and the bed was comfy. Living space nice and big. Balcony lovely with sun in the morning and ocean views. WiFi very good. Great location walking distance to the old town and beside a lovely park, bus stops nearby. Big supermarket also walking distance nearby. The highlight though was seeing a kestrel go about it's day right outside the balcony.

Balcony was a little dusty but I think the weather had been stormy and I booked last minute, so I understand this. There was a brush and dustpan available anyway. Traffic noise was quite loud from the balcony but again can't be helped when in central Funchal. Was much quieter when the windows were closed so wasn't an issue. Quite expensive but may have been due to the last minute booking.

We arrived early in the morning and asked before check-in to put our luggage, not to take it with us several hours, and our request was satisfied, for what many thanks. The view from apartments is fantastic either in the morning or at night
