We stayed in #11 and #12 tree houses and they were at the far end with lots of privacy and great views over the jungle canopy. Tree houses had a fair bit of space with nice bathrooms and comfy beds. The beanbag chairs on the deck were great for relaxing in and watching the birds and monkeys. The restaurant was fine and other options were close by if you wanted a change of pace or just to sip a beer.

Nous connaissions déjà le Resort, pour y avoir séjourné une semaine en février 2024. Nous avons choisi d'y retourner pour retrouver la forêt, la magnifique Jungle Pool, les deux plages...

Permai Rainforest Lodge était à la hauteur de nos attentes, cependant cette année le temps exécrable nous a poussés à prendre la décision difficile de renoncer et de nous replier sur Kuching. Une nuit en particulier a été dantesque, avec un orage constant de 23 heures à 5 heures du matin....

The setting is fabulous if you like staying in a rainforest. The treehouses are really unique and I love that they are on the water’s edge so you hearing the waves crashing onto the beach. The staff were very friendly and there was a good choice of food on the restaurant and a good breakfast.

I think my one criticism might be the trails. I need to caveat these comments that I was there in monsoon season and there was a tremendous amount of rain. I took the long 5.5 kms trail. I did it the wrong way round as I was not advised that there was a right way round. It really was challenging at times have to climb rocks and go through rivers. And I took the wrong path two times. Again it might be because I was walking it in the wrong direction. So, I am not saying don’t do the trails but take care and assess your fitness. I think Permai could collaborate better with local tour agencies to organise activities.

The housekeeper accidentaly left the door open until we come back around 11pm.

Fantastisk beliggenhet i regnskogen, med apekatter klatrende i trærne omkring. Vi fikk til å med se en grønn Viper! Gode senger, god aircon, nespressomaskin i tretopphytta. God og rimelig mat i restauranten. Veldig hyggelig personale. Ingen mygg! (Men det har kanskje å gjøre med årstid.) Fin liten strand, men for store bølger til å svømme. Bare 10 minutter å spasere til Sarawak heritage center, som er verdt et besøk.

Vi var egentlig fornøyd med alt, men kunne vært mer stabilt varmt vann i dusjen.

Beautiful, wild setting and great treehouses that blend into the natural environment. We saw monkeys from our balcony and swam in the wild pool. The staff are really helpful and it’s a very comfortable stay.
