This was an excellent base for our adventure group to explore West Waterford. The house exceeded our expectations! It was comfortable with all the modern conveniences, and also had plenty of character. The host had gone the extra mile to make our stay memorable, from a bottle of milk in the fridge to fresh scones on the table!

We had difficulty with the instructions to find the lock-box. But once we found the keys, the our was faultless!

Cappoquin is a beautiful town on the banks of the blackwater and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who would like the experience of an Irish town. The property was close to all amenities in the town and a short walk away from the river which has beautiful views. The hosts were great communicators and the scones on arrival were a touch of class.

Gorgeous property, centrally located and very homely. Sinead the host went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Lovely extra touches everywhere, very generous with facilitating additional time after check out and generally couldn’t have done more to make our stay better. 100% recommend. Immaculate, spacious and my girls loved the bunk beds while we loved having our own room! Hosts were extremely responsive and delightful. We were greeted with a lovely tray of scones, jam and Irish butter, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. Couldn’t ask for a lovelier stay!

The only negative I could think of is that options for dinner in Cappoquin were limited, but the grocery store was a 5 minute walk away so we just picked up food there.
