You get to stay in the middle of a local village. Even though it's a remote island, there are 3 ACs in the house (probably the only three on the whole island) and WIFI as the house has a private solar pannel electricity. Spacious and clean. Island is awesome. Stay longer than a night!

No furniture in the house, just beds and sofa. Friendly hosts, but no English spoken. High prices for drinks, food, transfers,...

Everything. The house is simple but confortable. The breakfast was simple but good. You have to understand that you are in a remote place with difficult to get all kind of luxuries. The house is indeed a luxury on the villa where it is. It was very rewarding to share with my children a different reality from what they know without loosing the confort and safety they are used to. The person that received us (Moreno) was very kind and present during all the time making sure that nothing went wrong.

Nothing. The only thing I would recomend is to have same groceries and goods (cookies, fruits, tea,coffee, water). I would pay that extra because we can't get that even if we want.

The house was perfect for our needs. Nothing to point out.

We really liked the property. Spacious, clean and with amazing conveniences such as good shower with hot water. It is not the case in most places in the south. The restaurant service definitely could benefit from some improvements.

Great location, they supplied a friendly and helpful driver (Clayton) to take me to and from Porto Alegre (stopping off at attractions en route) and arranged boat transport as well. The food at the nearby cafe was fresh and local. It’s a basic property on a beautiful island. Well worth exploring on foot.

The wifi wasn’t working at the property, but even this was helped by giving me access to the cafe wifi instead. They were very friendly and kind.

The house has electricity 24/7, tap water and air conditioning. Kudos to the owner for setting this up, however the rest of the house is not up to that level of quality. Bed mattresses were comfortable. The employee Nino was friendly and did the best he could, despite some difficulties to communicate.

The house would be ok at another price, as a backpackers' accommodation, but is really not worth the requested price. The house is much darker than in the photos. There is no decoration at all, and the furniture is very basic, there is not much equipment. It is not really pleasant to stay inside. There was a very strong smell of insect-repellent product when we arrived, certainly bad for our breathing. Bed sheets had stains from insects or other small animals, the beds were probably left uncovered for days before our arrival. The bedrooms and bathroom have this system where the door locks itself when closed, and had keys inside. It is therefore very easy to lock yourself out of the rooms. The walls are stained here and there. The shower cabin's isolation is broken so in the other side of the wall, in one of the bedrooms, there are larger stains caused by the water and humidity. In the living room, the sofas are covered with a synthetic material, not suitable for a place like this where it is very hot. The house is in a party village, DJs were playing music very loud during the whole afternoon, until 22h when the public electricity stops working. After that the village got silent. This is great if you want to dance and party with the locals, but annoying when you arrive tired after a long exhaustive travel in the heat, and would like to relax. We ordered vegetables at the house's restaurant, being not too hungry. We were charged 12.5€ per person for boiled vegetables, a hard-boiled egg and a bit of rice with sauce. Really overpriced. The breakfast was very basic, does not look like in the photos. We had to pay the booking in euros in a bank account in Portugal, to the owner who probably lives there, whereas we wanted to pay in the local currency. We fear that most of the amount we paid stayed in Portugal and does not help the local community at all.

Absolutely in the centre of the island life. There is no better location to get to be a part over all that. Easy access to beaches, port, bars-restaurants, forestwalks and equador. All in together is a hands down place. Wonderful.
