Villa Sisara

We spent one night there after arriving to Sri Lanka. The location is great and close to the airport. Silva is a really nice host. When we arrived early in the morning, he and his family welcomed us with tea and some sweets. He gave us some useful tips for our trip in Sri Lanka. Afterwards he also arranged for his son to gave us a ride in tuktuk and showed us around the fish market and the city a bit. We stayed in the Queen room which was very clean and had a comfortable bed to nap after the night flight.

There was quite some mosquitoes in the bathroom when we first arrived so make sure you bring your repellent.:)

- the hosts were very friendly and super helpful, even though their English was limited. We arrived at 3am, and we were greeted with a friendly face and help with luggage. And when we left, the hosts were so helpful in getting a car/driver for us. During our stay, we were give cups of tea and sugar. Very kind. - the self-contained apartment was large and the kitchen equipped with crockery and cutlery, gas cooker, fry pans , utensils - air con worked well - couple of mins walk to good super market - 10 mins walk to lots of restaurants

- we didn't have a key to let ourselves in and out, we had to be let out by the hosts, and ring the bell to be let in (the description of the self-contained apartment says it has a private entrance but there is no key) - the single and double room lacked any character, very plain - there was only one towel provided for the self- contained apartment, so we had to share. - the apartment could do with a microwave and toaster in the kitchen - complimentary tea/coffee would have been a nice touch - no TV - not warned to put food in fridge/cupboard to avoid nocturnal smackers

Nice and close to the airport for a comfy first and/or last stay upon arrival. Everybody working there is super accomodating making sure you're set with everything you need!

Fantastic location. Close to shops and restaurants, as well as the airport. The house is absolutely beautiful and everything is immaculate. I stayed in the single room and it was spotless and comfortable. The couple that look after the place are absolutely lovely. There is nothing they would not do for you. They even gave me a welcome papaya drink, cut up mango and gave me tea and cake as I got ready to leave the next morning. I can’t recommend this place enough when in Negombo.

Everything was perfect!

I had a whole etage in the villa, very stylish wooden furniture, terrase with columns and garden. The hosts are extremely friendly and helped in everything possible, even brought me to the bus stop when I departed to Colombo, and showed their domestic Indian Palm Squirrel! They tought me to cut coconuts and tight the traditional Sri-Lankan skirt. I heard many birds around, like in a real jungle! I was very happy at that place, good friendly atmosphere!! Also close to fish market and to airport!

Super friendly host, arrived very late which wasn't an issue, clean room, booked a single room and got upgraded to a double room. Would come back!

Found the mattress a bit too soft but that's a personal preference.

Such a nice accommodation! Our room and bathroom were very clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were super friendly and helped us with everything. We loved our stay there and would definitely recommend it to everybody! The location is rather in the city than close to the beach but it is perfectly when you want to explore the city. You can even go to the beach very easy and fast by taxi/tuktuk. Thank you for having us!
