Rui is an exceptional host, simply the best. Prior to the arrival, he sent specific directions to the house, along with tips on the best way to get to the area. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a refrigerator fully stocked with various beverages including water, beer, juice, and milk, as well as wine, coffee and some food. He patiently answered every question we had, and sent restaurant and sight seeing recommendations. He explained everything about the house, and responded to every message we sent throughout our stay almost immediately. Upon check-out, he helped us with luggage, and his wife drove us to the train station. Most importantly, there is no set check-in or check-out time, it is all agreed upon with Rui. This was absolutely above and beyond. He treated us like family. As a side note, Rui is very passionate about Porto. He shared a lot of history with us, and information about the city and the neighborhood. The location is spectacular, literally in the heart of the city. While the steps are a bit difficult, especially with luggage, the feeling of staying in a beautiful original house in the heart of Porto more than makes up for it. We spent an amazing Christmas Eve in the house. The lovingly restored house creates a special holiday feeling. A few more exceptional things about the house: 1. the bed in the master bedroom - extremely comfortable firm mattress. 2. WiFi - the best we ever had while traveling. 3. Fun backyard from where you can watch (and sometimes even hear) the people on the bridge.

We loved everything about our stay. There are a lot of stairs both up and down, as the apartment is right in the middle of the descent (or ascent), but we had no issue with it.

La amabilidad y la atención recibida por el amfitrión. Tanto a la entrada, la salida, como durante nuestra estancia.

La situación es muy céntrica, y es una casa muy diferente de lo que puedas encontrar. Comer en el patio es genial. Rui y Daniela son los mas encantadores anfitriones. Nos dejaron vinos y chocolate, y nos dejaron flexibilidad para entrar y salir más tarde.

Al ser una casa antigua, algunas cosas no son tan cómodas. Hay 3 pisos con escaleras, pero eso no fue un problema. Si que hay ruidos, sobretodo de tranvía, eso es inevitable ya que está debajo del puente, es algo que se sabe cuando vas.

Der Gastgeber war sehr hilfsbereit. Rui hat uns viele Informationen und gute Tipps gegeben. Von der Wohnung aus sind viele Sehenswürdigkeiten gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Danke für die Gastfreundlichkeit!

It was a lovingly restored old house with and eclectic selection of artefacts all around it.

The beds were hard and the noise bothered my husband & daughter but I use earplugs anyway so I heard nothing!

Fantástico anfitrión. Súper amable y atento. Nos ayudó muchísimo, nos atendió a la llegada, nos cuidó durante la estancia, estuvo pendiente de todo... un privilegio. Y la casa es preciosa, mucho más bonita que en las fotos. Súper bien ubicada, a un paso de todo y a la vez en un entorno tranquilo y bonito. Muy espaciosa, todo de madera y piedra pero reformada y adaptada. Con un pequeño jardín, hamaca, plantas... Muy, muy bonita, cómoda y fabulosa. Absolutamente recomendable, ha sido un privilegio poder alojarnos aquí. :)!
