Aljube Residences Duplex

We are a family of 7 adults from the US. We spent 5 nights at Aljube residence. The apartment is beautiful, modern, and in a terrific location, steps away from a great restaurant and a wonderful tapas/cocktail bar. The common space is very large giving us plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. Beautiful balcony; only regret is we did not have enough time to enjoy it because getting in too late from our day trips around the island. There is a hot tub that we did not have time to use. Modern elevator access from the ground floor. Garage parking with some tricky maneuvers to get in and out of, but we had two intermediate SUVs and still managed to fit them both in the garage. Access to building and apartment is with electronic key pads - great for traveling with a group of adults so everyone can be independent with access. Pedro, our host, was easy to work with and very responsive!

Only the common space and primary bedroom has air conditioning (AC). The other three bedrooms had no AC and NO FANS. It was only in the 70s during our stay but the small bedrooms were very hot and humid even with all the windows and doors left open. Ceiling fans or even stand up fans would make a huge difference to get some air flow. My son took the bedding from his twin and slept on the sofa in the living room. The others had to make due in a very hot space.

Brand new renovation, in a great part of town that’s easily accessible to the main road. Great value for the space provided and Pedro was very accommodating.

The air conditioning is weak, which made one of the rooms too hot to sleep in. If you opt for a rental car, choose a sedan given how narrow the streets/garage are.
