"I want to be compensated for going through this mess."

Nothing.

We entered the room, took a look around and immediately left. We immediately called the owner and told him there was no way we could stay here. The door could not be locked, kids toys were scattered everywhere, everything was substandard. He ensured us that we could get a refund but he still has not told Bookings. We are very upset with the owner and Bookings

"Great stay, great hosts!"

Great location, kind hosts, comfortable accommodation, clean. Yes, you are sharing the hosts' house, but the room has an ensuite bath so it's not so different from a hotel room. Would def book here again.

"It was too short and I need to visit again."

This was the best place I've ever stayed in my world travels. I felt so peaceful and at home. I was able to not only relax, but get out and have informed information about where and how to travel around thanks to the host. The location was perfect for being close enough to the life of the city but far enough away to separate as well. I plan on visiting again!

That the trip wasn't longer.

"clean and comfy"

free breakfast and nice comfy bed.

I honestly thought this was not a shared living situation but it was. However the hosts were gracious and understanding.
