Hotel Venere

Right next to the free public beach. Not far from restaurants and historic old town. Great location. Parking (paid) right outside which was an unexpected bonus.

Rooms are a bit dated, and a bit smelly. The sea was very brown, maybe from the sand, forests nearby - not the hotel's fault.

GOOD LOCATION, friendly staff.

GENERALLY THE HOTEL IS VERY DATED (1970'S) The bathroom was cramped, the shower cubicle could have been cleaner, the air conditioning was very noisy and the overhead fan did not look very secure as it wobbled. Breakfast selections were only topped up on request. There was no allocated parking; public parking cost 8€ per day.

Excellent hotel, wonderfull view, perfect room, all more as ok.

The stafff speak several languages and were welcoming from check-in. There's a little bar and they made the best gin&tonic, explaining that each gin requires a specific tonic water and they had several options.I was struck with how clean it was! Very well-maintained and comfortable - the most hangers I've ever seen in a hotel closet! The balcony is good-sized and with comfortable chair. They have umbrellas for guests, too.
