Laura and her family are the greatest hosts one can wish for! Our stay was perfect. The room was very spacious and well furnished, clean and they have thought of everything summer hikers might need at their "base". They were also very helpful in giving advice on where to eat, etc. It felt like we were visiting a relative in Italy :) We read in other reviews that some people complained about the noise from the main road -- in our experience it is not a problem at all during the night.

(minor point) There is no sink in the room, only in the bathroom. This makes preparing snacks and washing up after meals a bit inconvenient. (an other minor point) All the hiking spots can be reached after short drives (we didn't try public transport) but the roads can get very very congested in August.
