Location was great - close to airport and bus line. Secure building with mom/pop market nearby. Residential neighborhood felt safe. Quiet location - even though, you can see the planes landing and there is a large construction site next door. Water pressure and heat were good. Kitchen had most items that we needed. It is a good accommodation for single men traveling alone as the the live-in host is a single man.

Live-in host was unexpected and the common areas are not kept clean enough to feel comfortable sharing (ex. ashtray and personal items always left on living room couch, hosts food left in oven, ashtrays/paperwork/misc were left on kitchen island and dining room table). No room darkening or privacy curtains (only shears on windows). The room with the larger bed has one window that looks directly into the window of the host's bathroom with no way to protect your privacy. We put towels and bedspreads to cover the windows for sunlight and privacy. We also had to ask for toilet paper twice in our 6 days stay (there is no extra available in the bathroom and because the host was not around we ended up using paper towels). There were also lots of cleaning supplies out in the bathroom with little room to place your own items when staying. The host comes home late at night due to his working schedule and is out in the kitchen making a meal. He was making noise in the kitchen the first night we arrived at approx. 1am - he did not repeat this behavior as we asked him to refrain from noise. There was also no furniture on the room balcony (so no place to sit outside - having a balcony was worthless). I would say that the apartment is a "bachelor" clean.

Thankfully it was walking distance to the airport. This was some compensation for being falsely charged extra for the 'complimentary shuttle'

FALSE/MISLEADING ADVERTISING by the proprietor of 'Flight Rooms' in Kirkop, Malta. They expressly advertise on their Booking.com webpage that the price "includes roundtrip airport transfer + early check-in + late check-out + late check-in + high speed internet". They also describe in their list of facilities: "ATM/cash machine onsite" However, when I informed the owner I would be arriving at 8:50pm from the Sicily Ferry, he wanted to charge me an extra Euro 15 for being late - even though the booking states "included late check-in". Furthermore, despite claiming they had ATM facilities, there was no way for me to pay by card as I did not have sufficient cash to pay these unexpected extra costs. Moreover, when I request a shuttle to the airport to arrive by 5am the next day for my flight, I was told this would cost me an extra Euro 13. Even though my booking stated I was entitled to a complimentary shuttle and my departure time fell within the early check-out window of 0:00 to 11:00. By this stage, I could no longer cancel the booking. If this information was clear to me on the initial booking page, I would have selected an alternative accommodation. One of the reasons I chose this propety was it was advertised as "Flight Rooms with complimentary late check-in, early check-out and free shuttle" while in fact none of this was true without paying additional fees." I regard this as false/misleading advertising! The owner needs to correct the details included in their webpage to accurately reflect the truth, so consumers can make properly informed decisions when choosing to stay there.

It is a room in a new apartment complex. Lift facility available . Only one flat per floor. Next to Bus stop and direct buses from Airport ( No 72 ) and to Valette ( 72 ). Host is friendly and helpful. Attractions like Blue Grotto are nearby and have direct bus.

Common areas are untidy and smell of cigarette. Smoking is permitted in the hall. Ofcourse, no cigarette smell in room or bath room. Door curtain to balcony is very light and morning sun disturbs your sleep. There is a small kiosk which sells snacks and tea nearby. No restaurant in the locality for dinner, drinks.

Very friendly host. My room was big enough for me, and was well equipped. I was positively surprised not to hear the planes from the nearby airport. Santi is very friendly and helpful. I had a very pleasant stay.

Everything I would love to stay again if I vist malta again

Location 15min walk from the airport, easy to find, responsive, and helpful host.
