Brill Maner Residency Opposite Technopolis

Reason being, only locals are allowed to stay and not tourists - I had booked this accommodation 9 days before arriving and not a single piece of communication about whether or not I am a local or a tourist. I get a message just as I have landed at Kolkata airport asking if I was a local or tourist and only locals can stay here; then I call them and speak to them; they said they can send me to another location, and I can stay there... "No, thank you!" - This man wasn't helpful at all on the phone and put the phone down on me after I told him this was bad customer service and they could have messaged me at any point after I booked this place. It's one thing to have told me this 9 days ago ... but to tell me 30 mins before I was to arrive and, being a solo female traveller, that was poor customer service, and I had to end up paying nearly triple the price to stay somewhere that night in the same area and to find new accommodation for the rest of the week.

Rooms had cockroaches everywhere and very dirty. Geyser not working, no clean available, Rooms and bed stinks, no iron. I would recommend not to books this place
