Ok so hear me out — this place is a little offbeat. It’s a family’s basement in the suburbs/quiet residential part of Moss. But it’s totally perfect. Unlike the commoditized, agency-owned Airbnbs of today, this basement embodies that 2014 spirit of just borrowing someone’s spare space. I actually found it nice to find signs of life in the room - food in the freezer, laundry drying on the in the back. Felt warm and homey and like staying with your relatives. House is occupied by a family with young kids which definitely made me feel a lot more at ease about staying in a stranger’s basement. Did not talk much to the host other than to check in but he seemed perfectly nice. Inside the room, there’s a big living room, a kitchen, a bathroom with great water pressure, AND A WHOLE BIG BEDROOM with a big bed that’s separate. So much value for money here. Absolutely top notch stay if you’re of the more adventurous/off the beaten track persuasion. 10/10

Just note it’s about a 20-30 minute walk into town (downhill on the way there but uphill on the way back). Didn’t learn the bus system of Moss intimately so may be better connected than it felt but wasn’t super easy to reach on foot. My friend and I arrived by bus at Mosseporten on the northern edge of the city and it took us about 50 minutes of walking through the dark to get there. We were unable to locate any Ubers or Bolts, but there were plenty of electric scooters along the way you could rent. If you’re coming by car it’s probably a cinch. Otherwise just be down to walk ;)
