Springfontein River Lodge

Grote moderne kamers met uitzicht op de rivier en bergen . Lekker gegeten met aangepaste wijntjes in het restaurant wortelgat op het domein .

The location is absolutely stunning! The rooms are beautiful, the estate is breathtaking, and the overall warmth of the place is overwhelming. We’ll definitely be back next year!

The lodge is a little far from the restaurant and the main swimming pool, so I rather took the car - especially at night.

Breakfast was sub-expectations - only redeeming food feature was dinner special of silver fish which was excellent

Unit was sparce with deep uncomfortable easy chairs and concrete floors throughout which were cold and extremely slippery in the shower "room" Could be made into a wonderful destination but failed at this stage

it was super-expensive for a cheaply built, under par accomodation. The bedroom /bathroom are open-plan, no shower door, no rugs, no comfy sofa to sit on, no TV. No proper lighting/ ie can't read a book at night it's so dim. No special toiletries, no tissues, no cold drinks in the fridge No lighting at night from your car to the room.

Jean is so lovely. She took us through the hotel history and the wine. It was so comfortable. Would have loved to stay longer.

More restaurant options. Had to drive out to town for a different experience. However, the hotel has two options that can meet most requirements.

We had an incredible stay at Sprinfontein. The property is stunning and the rooms beautifully furnished. We were lucky enough to have a special tour of the property with owner Jeanne, who is incredibly kind, warm and knowledgeable about wine and the estate.

Very good hotel, quite touristy, the amenities are clean and luxurious, the bedding and bathroom are particularly good. Nice restaurant and bar. We had a very pleasant stay.

We loved the views and the rooms. It’s so peaceful and good for the soul.

There wasn’t Aircon with it being so hot and humid. We found the lodge to be very separated with the pool and restaurant being so away from the rooms. I think the mattresses need to be changed as it did concave when lying on it
