The room wasn't cleaned...we found used cigarettes on the floor.

The room was big enough for me and very private. The lady Dorcas was very helpful at all times.

We were asked to meet Peninah at the property to show us our room and get the keys, and that's exactly who we met. She was incredibly welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed right off the bat! The room, though expectedly old (old building), it was incredibly well-maintained, clean, and properly equipped - fridge, microwave, 2-burner cooker, plenty of cookware/cutlery/utensils, a really nice TV, a fan, a pretty big bed for 2, and a super large bathroom! Our room also had a sizeable closet with a few hangers handy. Our host went an extra step to add sea shells on the tv stand which I personally found to be a lovely touch. Parking space was also ample. And, I did love how well maintained the garden was. Ambiance-wise, the place was about 200m from the main tarmac road, and mostly surrounded by a what I believe was a mangrove forest, so it was incredibly quiet 24/7, and we had no trouble catching plenty of sleep after exhausting days and some nights out!!! This is my first choice for a long stay in Diani going forward! And, yes, this was the first host I've stayed with who ever specifically welcomed us over the phone! I found that very re-assuring that we would find the place ready and still available even if we hadn't pre-paid!
