Boutique French Central Matamata

The location was great and the hosts were flexible about check out time.

I must have missed the part in the description where they described the bathroom being in a seperate building to the bedroom. Also having children playing loudly and swearing so near by, and having to pass them to use the bathroom was a touch disruptive. It didn't feel very private.

We booked for 2 adults and a 14 year old child as booking.com described it as a family room. It would be good for 2 adults but NO MORE! The child was expected to sleep on an uncomfortable and narrow sofa. The owner missed that there were 3 of us and had a duvet and extra towel delivered when told.

This was a small bungalow at the back of what appears to be a rental property. We had to walk up the rentals driveway, right past their windows, to get in. The bathroom was an old style wash house with a shower and toilet. It was 20m from the bungalow - a bit tough for a night time, especially in rain. Car parking is out on the street.

Tres bon hébergement. Au fond du jardin d'une maison dans un quartier calme. Le fait que la salle de bain soit séparée de la chambre ne pose aucun problème. Nous avions loué cet hébergement pour aller visiter Hobbiton, c'était parfait.

This was a comfortable stay, the room was lovely and had everything we needed. The bathroom is outside but lovely and not far. We enjoyed our stay here.

Unfortunately, location and proximity to Hobbiton was the only good thing about this property.

Cleanliness was a let down, the place was dusty, bathroom floor and shower cabin were dirty, sheets were not changed and dirty…walkway to the property was hard to navigate with the boat and cars parked on the way
