"I will not book this house again as the owner asked me repeatedly not to break down her house."

It was not included.

The host was utterly unprofessional and it made us feel unwelcome in the house as she repeatedly asked me not to break down her house. The house is cold. Only one aircon in the main bedroom, no winter sheets, electric blankets, no fireplace. The one room smells of mold.

"Worst stay ever"

I happily booked this place for my birthday week recently with high expectations. Firstly, on the positive side, it looks just like the photos and the check in process was seamless. Friendly gate staff. On arrival though, some things stuck out, which I feel speaks to the level of detail - or lack thereof. Firstly, I'm not sure what was wrong with the fridge. It didn't work properly on cooling items, even the ones in the freezer. This was highly inconvenient since I had groceries bought to last a few days. The already prepared fruit and burger patties I had were flat by the morning after I checked in. For where it is located, you'd expect to find at least small amenities like salt, pepper (the basic stuff). The place is in a gated community away from shops. For the amount paid and type of place it is, this is the bare minimum that would be offered at even the most basic Airbnb. The smell. I'm not sure what that was but we couldn't sleep well through the night due to a mouldy smell. Maybe this was a rushed job on the cleanup after the precious tenants. Again, highly disappointing for a place of this calibre. The biggest issue that I'm still dealing with - The breakage deposit. When I checked out, the place was inna condition almost similar to how it was on checkin. There were no items broken, the towels used were in the wash, the dishes dirtied packed neatly in the sink. R5000 was deducted prior to check-in and only R3000 returned with no itemised billing of what was damaged. They themselves probably can't justify it. I've reached out numerous times to get the list, with no communication back. I hope they will at least have the courteously of returning an email so I won't feel like I was scammed. Again, highly disappointing service from a place I felt was of a particular standard.
