Charming studio apartment

Nothing comes to mind

The photos are not representative of what this place is like at all, the place is old and falling to pieces. It is not clean, the light fixture is hanging off of the ceiling, the handle for the window falls off, the shower door is broken and hanging off of the rails, the blinds are bent up and unsightly and the bedding is creased up and not nice. My partner actually got upset when we arrived, after staying in many nice places across norway over the last couple of weeks, this really brought our holiday down. It shouldn’t be allowed to be on booking.com

Bed sheets were a little dirty

Bed linen was very creased. A very dark colour making room dark. No sheet on mattress. In photos bed linen was white and made room brighter. No TV as listed. Not that I spent long in the room.

The apartment is good located. It is not the very center, but it takes only 15 minutes to reach main station. Big shop in the building right opposite to apartment's. Price was also acceptable. Another options seemed worse and more expensive. There is almost everything you might need during the short stay. Small kitchen with a lot of stuff, pretty comfortable bed, good shower, good internet.

Keys from the apartment are in the box, outside of the building. It is not very comfy to grab them when it is raining. And it is raining in Bergen quite a lot. I have no idea what kind of people are living in this building, but I have experienced terrible smell in the corridor all three days I was there. Something strange was cooked, probably. It is not related to the apartment itself, it smells nice, but anyway it is a bit annoying.

The location was great. It was away from the centre of Bergen but close to the departure point for the Fjord trips and also within walking distance to the main attractions such as the fish market and Bryggen. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped. Though a little tricky getting in the host was incredibly responsive to my many questions and so helpful. There were also some great little coffee shops and bars close by in a quaint area.
