Villa Giethoorn Steenwyck

Its not noise isolated room. Our voice from the room can reach everywhere. In the app I choose a room with two bed (large and small bed), but only got one large bed. They charge you extra more for baby.

Villa Steenwyck Giethoorn located very near to city center of Steenwijk. The ambience of hotel is very nice and its one of the memorable one. Rooms were very nice, neat & clean. I strongly recommend the best place to stay if in the planning to be in Steenwijk.

very clean, comfortable, and walkable distance to the train station. staff was also very nice and replied to our text and needs fast.

The building itself is very near perfectly decorated and the staff is very warm and friendly. The beds were nice, the rooms were sound proof, and each room had a historical theme. I really loved this place.

The bathroom is shared and, significantly, not heated. Having to run across the hall repeatedly at night to use the ice cold toilet diminished the experience a great deal. Also there was a smell of cigarette smoke. I don't know whether it was another patron or the staff, but it persisted throughout the night. I was unable to find anyone to take my key and check me out in a timely manner, so I just abandoned the key at the front desk.

I enjoyed the old school interior, but I was not clear about booking the room without the private bathroom which caused the stay not that satisfying for me. Also, they are short for employees.

Haven't settled by the time we checked in.
