Convento Apartment Rossio

Great location, quiet, apartment very clean and well equipped. Thanks for the decaff coffee and fruit tea! Check-in instructions from L very clear with photos and tip on where to ask the taxi driver to stop. The streets and laneways are very confusing until you get used to them.

It does say that access is via stairs to upper floors, but wow! very steep stairs and narrow staircase. A bit unexpected. Perhaps should be mentioned. People with limited mobility could not access this apartment.

Very centrally located, close to metro and a lot of the city attractions

The apartment was very clean and had a good coffee maker, microwave, fridge and washing machine, which I like. The balcony was tiny, but nice to sit on in the mornings and was shaded from view by a big beautiful tree - just like in the photos. It was located within 5-15 min walk of several plazas, shopping, metros, and other attractions, which was nice. Basic mini market just round the corner. Definitely in the heart of everything. The apartment is a little nicer than the photos.

The hike up to the apartment was steep which was a bit annoying, but you can't have everything :) Same with the stairs leading up to the unit, quite steep and narrow. I am thin and fit, but a big, heavy person could be fairly uncomfortable. There were a lot of 'locals' hanging out on the street going down to the Rossio & Restaurantur Plazas, but there were just as many tourists always walking down the hill. Once I got used to the scene, I didn't feel unsafe. I'm over 60, female and was travelling alone.

The apartment was within walking distance to major tourist attractions. The apartment was well equipped with toiletries and cooking amenities. The hosts were very informative and sent on relevant information to us.

The location of the apartment was in a dirty side street. Rubbish was strewn all over the street and we didn't feel safe in the area walking in the evening due to people loitering around. The bedroom is prone to water leakages when it rains as can be seen by the sticker on the window and witnessed first hand by us when we came home on the last evening. This cannot be the first time this has happened as damp can be clearly seen around the bedroom window and on the ceiling. I was very disappointed to find this. The stairs leading up to the apartment were extremely narrrow and we bumped our heads on the ceiling more than once.

The location is very central, walking distance to main objects, close to super market, retaurants, bars, metro station. Apartment was clean, had heating and aircon, kitchen had needed appliances, washing machine. Laura was very friendly and helpful

Rossio area which not very nice during the night is just around the corner so it's better to choose other streets to get back to the apartment.

I liked nothing about it. The only thing I have to say was the staff did respond to my complaints, but one of the persons I was texting with displayed an argumentative attitude.

When I arrived the shower stall was broken, there there were only two small rolls of toilet paper for a five day stay, very little in the way of toiletries was supplied, the hot water ran out quickly, the shower stall was very small and I am not a very big person. It appeared that this property was slapped together to make a buck. It is overpriced and not recommended.
