Lucky Homestay Hiriketiya

Camera semplice accanto all’abitazione dei proprietari. La camera è piccola ma essenziale, il clima funziona perfettamente, frigo con acque in fresca e a 10 minuti a piedi dal centro città/spiagge. Il figlio parla un ottimo inglese e aiuta nella comunicazione, la famiglia è stata veramente molto gentile ed ospitale. Buona anche la colazione.

La camera è piccola, ma comunque c’è tutto ciò che serve. Qualche piccola ragnatela ma non ha rappresentato alcun problema. Consigliato e torneremmo volentieri.

Clean, comfortable, cute and private little room, ensuite and small outdoor area/mini kitchen. Fantastic family hosting, delicious breakfast....just a wonderful stay all around!!

Friendly family, their son is very good at english and can support his mom and dad with translating. The stay is just outside of town, which makes it closer to wildlife.

I missed something to hang my clothes.

I had a lovely 3 nights stay at this homestay. The family who runs this place are really nice and welcoming people. Breakfast was great with different types of Srilankan dishes every day. 10 minute walk to the beach. Highly recommended!

Felt very at home at Lucky homestay. The room is very comfortable and had everything you needed. Loved the outdoor kitchen. Amazing breakfast and the most lovely people! I was sad to leave. It's about 10- 15 minute walk.from the beach.

We loved our stay at Lucky Homestay, Predeepa and her family made us feel very comfortable and at home. The room was very clean, and the bed was so comfortable! The room had an aircon, fan and mosquito net as well as a fridge and well equipped kitchen. I highly recommended staying here when in Hiriketiya!

The only thing was that it was a little of of town, but not bad if you happy to walk!

I landed up staying at Lucky Homestay for an entire month, and it was one of the most memorable and enriching experiences of my life. Being their very first guest felt like an honour! If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic Sri Lankan experience, this is your place! Surrounded by jungle, walking distance to shops/beach/restaurants, and hosted by the KINDEST FAMILY you’ll ever meet. Private room, clean all round, spacious, comfortable double bed with a mosquito net, an outdoor kitchen, en-suite bathroom (with views of palm trees and monkeys from the shower!), a big fan and the option of AC. Located up the road from Lemon Grass and Kingsleys Place, the most popular dinner spots in Hiriketiya! Extra bonus, they also have a washing machine so you can have clean clothes! AMAZING FOOD. Pradeepa, the mother, is an incredible cook who prepared a free, delicious Sri Lankan breakfast for me every morning, each day offering something new and exciting. She offers cooking classes too! Their son, Vitu, speaks excellent English and was always available to help, translate or provide advice, making everything so easy. Lucky, the father, is not only kind and helpful but also deeply wise. He shared fascinating insights about Buddhism with me when I asked to learn more, which added so much meaning to my time there. The family truly made my stay unforgettable. They are gentle, friendly, warm and generous people. They always looked out for me and made sure I felt safe and secure. They respected my space but were always there when I needed anything, gifting me food and keeping my room spotless with frequent, thoughtful cleaning. The love, respect, and care I experienced here were beyond what I could have imagined. I genuinely felt like the luckiest person in the world. If you’re looking for your own space, peace, culture and warm-hearted hospitality, Lucky Homestay is a place you’ll never forget.

If you also decide to stay here long term, I would highly recommend getting a scooter! The family can help you organise this. They allow you to park inside too!
