Quattro Fontane Apartment

Lovely, clean apartment, bright, spacious in beautiful residential area. Local cafe nearby, close to beach, 20 minute walk to boat & main shopping area. The host was very responsive.

They need to update their infomation sheet for hospitals/doctors and taxi costs. Unfortunately, we needed a doctor & took bus to facility listed but info was wrong. We couldnt get a doctor on Lido island. We had to take the boat to the main hospital and got excellent treatment there, but wasted time & energy. Coffee pods left didnt fit the machine.

Our transfer was at 3PM and we were suppose to leave apartment latest 10 AM. The night before I have sent question, by SMS, if we can stay in the apartment till 3PM (we were willing to pay), but I got the answer next day at 3PM. We already left apartment at 10AM.

the second bathroom was not clean

The living room/dining room and balconies were excellent. The master bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. The neighborhood was residential and quiet. The kitchen was a bit dated but well supplied. The pay beach Quattro Fontane is a three minute walk. It is $142 euros for a full day in the front of the beach with a changing cabin, two chairs and one sun lounger. 69 euros for a full day in the third row at this beach.

The property manager told us we could check in early and we arrived to find the apartment uncleaned. The property manager did not respond by whatsapp and the hosts (whom the note says only call if absolutely necessary) would only answer by messaging. We were told at 5pm that the apartment had been cleaned and was ready 5 hours after we first arrived. We were allowed to store our luggage while we paid a high amount to spend the day at the beach. The property manager Marco responded to only one of 3 or 4 emails. Communication could be a lot better. The bathroom at the end of the hallway had a terrible smell that did not go away the entire stay. The main bathroom sink drained very slowly. Both bathrooms are small. Free beach is 20 minutes walking. The ferry is 20 minutes walking. The grocery stores are 20 minutes walking. Restaurants are closer. No bikes were provided that we were aware of. You must recycle and take your trash to recycling bins a block away of they threaten a ridiculous $167 euro fee that is disclosed once you arrive for “any trash left in the apartment”. Of the hundreds of places I have stayed, this is the first time I had to take out the trash. 99.9% of places include this in the cleaning fee. A minor inconvenience, you had to unlock the front door and front gate to leave the property from the inside with the keys provided. And when you returned the gate could only be opened with the lock on the inside so you had to reach through the gate to unlock it blindly.
