Morinoyu Hotel Hanakagura

The location though was a bit in accessible but the surrounding was very quiet and serene. An ideal location for an onsen ryokan with beautiful scenary which you can enjoy while in the onsen. The dinner provided a authentic experience of a omakase course. it is prepared immaculately by the chef and we eenjoy to our hearts content.

Wr had private outdoor bathtub in our room. Good view from the outdoor bath and good hot spring. We enjoy the beautiful landscape of asahikawa / biei area and the white world the next day when it started to snow. Good contrast.

Food was a little disappointing as compare with other half board hot spring hotel we stayed in the past at Mount Fuji and echigo yuzawa area.

It was great, the onsen facilities is OK.. shoulve book the japanese room instead of the cabin, as the cabin is a bit of a walk from main building and a bit scary at night..

Nothing, lots of locals come here, authentic experience

Place was clean. Food ok. There is a cafe on level 2 where you can get dinner. Get the breakfast option with accommodation.

The open air hot spring in the room was good but there were many bugs and insects flying around the outdoor onsen area during the autumn season. So if you are really scared of insects take note.
