Castle Hillside Apartment

In the infos on booking its says thwre is a free parking slot and that was the reason we booked here. Sadly there was no parking slot so i have to give 1 start because that was Our Main reason for this one. Also the doors are really hard to open and the Toilette is just for small and thin people.

This apartment is a desaster. we couldn’t stay here. I don't know how and I don't understand why it has 9.3 in reviews. It's an old apartment (in bad sense), with old furniture, bad smelling (mold and other bad odors) unventilated, with cobwebs in all corners, spiders. Sheets and pillowcases wirh dubious color, unironed and unusable. Since the smell in the apartment was unbearable and light diffused (?!?) it was not possible to say if were used or not. Spotted towels, dubious color - unusable. In the kitchen dusty and very superficial cleaning. The toilet does't have a sink. What kind of hygiene and comfort is this? The parking is another story. On the public space if you find.. Run away!!!

Super nice and kind host. Best location to get Buda side tourist points. Just 2min to get fisherman's bastion. There is almost everything for staying in this accommodation. Large and cozy space.

Located on the hill and quite far to get Pest side.

Perfect location in central Buda just a few steps (up the hill&stairs :o) ) away from Fisherman Bastion (were there 3 times in 3 days :o) ). Apartment itself is good organized. Garden view is so relaxing. Great communication with the owner. Paid parking in the streets nearby (free of charge over the weekend), not easy to find a spot. Budapest center is pretty walkable - crossing the Széchenyi Chain Bridge you get to Pest and Andrássy út with the old subway line. I can recommend Parasztkonyha restaurant for hungarian cuisine, playground for kids is just opposite (this playground has WC and water available).

The host is super friendly and replies to your messages quickly. I really enjoyed interacting with him. The apartment is a bit dated, but has everything you need. The air conditioner worked great. The location is perfect...super closed to Fisherman's Bastion and the Church of our Lady of Buda Castle. The location was very safe and has restaurants closed by. I would definitely stay here again.

I'm not sure if I should highlight this as negative, but just a heads up. The owner and the photo descriptions here are very clear regarding what I'm about to mention. The parking is not on premises. It is located about 10 minutes away by foot on a public parking area by the river. I had to drive some time to find a parking spot, but the owner will go with you to ensure you park in an approved parking space (awesome of him). I cannot complain about free parking in Budapest, but I want to ensure everyone comes here fully knowing the expectations. I would absolutely stay here again.
