Hotel Santika PasirKaliki

Located conveniently near the train station and 23 Paskal Mall, which has a Huge outdoor food court for every taste. We walked there for dinner, very convenient. The bedrooms were quiet, despite being on a main street. Not much traffic noises made it up to the upper floors. The rooms were cozy, well appointed and clean. The breakfast buffet was extensive with multiple cuisines represented and taste delicious. The staff were professional. Complimentary valet parking was a plus.

The staff was great! Very friendly and helpfull. We had a window that wouldn't close and they fixed it right away. We also booked a room with 2 single beds instead of 1 double on accident which was changed free of charge. Gerry gave us advice as to how and where we should go to experience Bandung.

It was a very noisy room.

Inspite of "Privacy Please" hooked on door, housekeeping entered to top up bottled water - NOT appreciated

No sleep or peace and quiet. From early afternoon, around 1pm until 7 the next morning, loud speakers blasting prayers (which we have no problem with) and screaming (which we have a problem with because the prayers and music is over loud speakers so no need to scream) NON STOP. The loud speakers from at leat 4 mosques can be heard at the same time and LOUD,, and it went alll night NON STOP. While NOT SLEEPING we researched if there was a significant ceremony or the like, but there didn't seem to be. Not sure if there is some sort of battle because of the Christian Church across the road. Two weeks in Java and this has to be the loudest and longest call yet. Not sure why there aren't Bylaws for the noise levels. For future guests please provide earplugs or ar least explain that speakers from various mosques will be blasting all night non stop so guests have the choice to leave and go somewhere they can get some sleep. We have stayed in another parts of Bandung and didn't have the problem of noise, just the usual 5 prayers a day and perhaps children yelling the Quran (not understanding the concept of loud speakers), but at least only went for 20 minutes, not all night NONSTOP. Not sure if it is the fault of the hotel, but surely they have a voice on behalf of the public re noise levels (which were incredibly loud), like we said, ALL NIGHT.
