Incredible Waitakere View

Unfortunately, we would not recommend this property and wish we had looked more closely at previous reviews before booking. The first impression on arrival was poor. The rubbish bins at the driveway were overflowing and look to not of been emptied in a long time, leaving us with no way to dispose of our own waste. There was also a broken bed frame left on the front lawn, which appeared to have been there for quite some time. Inside, the overall cleanliness was concerning. The entire property, including the bathrooms, had a dusty, mouldy smell. There was also a leak under the bench that produced an unpleasant odour. Marks were visible on many of the walls, and there were even holes behind some of the doors — issues that, based on previous reviews, seem to have been ongoing for months. The kitchen was not adequately set up for guests who wish to cook. Although there was a dishwasher, no dishwasher tablets were provided, so we had to wash everything by hand. There were also no tea towels supplied, which meant we had to purchase our own during our stay. The bedding and towels were disappointing. The bed was made with only a fitted sheet and a duvet, and it was unclear whether the duvet had been cleaned between guests. The towels provided were old and stained, with no spare sets available. The listing also mentioned a bath; however, there is no bath in any of the bathrooms. Additionally, the property advertised a BBQ, which we had planned to use, but there was no BBQ available upon arrival. Given that we paid $860 for two nights, we found the property to be significantly overpriced for the standard, cleanliness, and amenities provided. Overall, the property seems suitable only as a very basic place to sleep, and even then, it falls well short of reasonable expectations.

Not clean, moldy and smelt bad. Also freezing cold. Very expensive for the condition of house unfortunately. Wouldn’t stay here again

Not the cleanest of places. Unfortunately there was no hot water but the owners came around and fixed it. Rubbish and cleaning clothes left inside when we arrived. No catches on one of the bedroom windows

The 2 day stay was good

They were insects in the bedroom and kitchen and they was no dryer to dry the clothes plus no clothes hanging. The holiday home needs more improvement . Only one tv was not good enough and the second tv in one of the bedroom did not work and it did not have a remote control. The cleaness of the house was not very good it needs improvement. And for kids they were no games they could play with. It's a fair home to stay in.

Lots of bedrooms for my large family. Owner very responsive when I contacted about an issue and sorted it out for me. Good internet and space for the kids to play outside. Quiet area to relax after exploring Auckland city but not to far away.

A toilet on the main floor would be very helpful.

Had to call 4 times to get the code for the lockbox. They were informed of our arrival time and had a contact phone number. We should have been rung or texted the code

Cobwebs, very dusty, not clean, thin towels, heaters that didn’t work. No top sheet on beds. Thin duvets. In bad need of refurbishment
