AUAUMorsen and his family are some of the kindest people we have ever met. If you are looking for an authentic cultural experience with awesome volcano views then this won't disappoint. Rustic and no frills - and the best experience of our holiday. We hope we see Morsen and his family again soon.
GBWe had a wonderful time with Morsen, Susi and the rest of the family. We got to experience true island hospitality and kindness that went above our expectations. Morsen helped us arrange a volcano tour and all other transfers (riding like the locals, on the back of pickups!), and Susi recommended a walk to their local waterfalls and the community's kastom dance. Make sure you bring enough cash as there are so many awesome trips and activities to spend it on. We were treated by generous and delicious meals and learnt how to prepare local dishes. Our bungalow was comfortable and had a beautiful view over Mt Yasur. We loved learning local games from the children too and getting to spend time with them. It was a true slice of Tanna paradise and community life.
If you're expecting Western modern amenities then this may not be the place for you, but you definitely have everything you need here and we can't recommend it enough.

I wasn’t keen on the big spider on my pillow (even if harmless!) but it’s all part of the rustic Tanna bungalow experience
USStaying with Morrisen and his family was the highlight of our two weeks in Vanuatu. The accommodations are simple but clean. Flush toilet, solar lights and charging station. Morrisen can arrange pickup and tours around the island so be sure to message him in advance. His wife, Susie cooks incredible breakfast. Be sure to try her banana pancakes. This is the real authentic Vanuatu island life. I am very grateful for this experience.
