Alpaca Serenity Farmhouse

Very clean and so spacious, comfy beds, super easy access with carpark out front, gorgeous alpacas and a mini goat right outside the window, tin of food waiting on bench for us to feed alpacas if we wanted to (we did!), nice kitchen, felt like we were in the country but less than 10 minutes from grocery store to stock up and only 20 minutes from downtown Christchurch for dinner. So lovely and calming and quiet - fantastic option after a day of travel, particularly with someone neurodiverse in the group. Would have liked to stay longer. Lovely - and different - greenery-view bathroom. Wish we took more pics of the animals but we were too busy feeding them to take pics. Only pic I have is from when I was sitting at the table having my morning cuppa and had a lovely animal view.

Only thing - and it’s small - is that one of the three bedrooms (one of the two that has a queen size bed in it) has a sky light in the roof. So it gets very bright in the morning. I’m an early riser anyway so it didn’t bother me.

It’s clean with 3 cute Alpaca & 1 sheep to feed over the fence.

The beds are too soft for our liking. One of the bedrooms has rooftop windows. Kind of ‘force’ us to be up once the sun is up. Only 1 bathroom & bathtub in open concept.

Loved everything about our stay at Grace and Yuans lovely farmhouse. Clear instructions on how to get there and greeted on arrival with the keys. The place was spotless, and the setting was beautiful and very calming, with the Alpacas and the new addition of the 9 week old sheep. Getting to to feed the sheep and the Alpacas was the highlight of our stay as it made our sons face light up. Thank you for your hospitality Grace and Yuan.

Clean and very comfortable smiling hosts with a nothings a problem attitude. Very handy location and we were able to handfeed the Alpacas

There is a lovely home feeling on this property Great friendly hosts , clean and tidy , I Highly recommend.we will be back to visit. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

In regards to my grandson who's a busy wee fella ( 2) he did find the dish washing tablets and liquid under the sink, I would recommend either a kiddy lock or that these items are put up higher. And around the side of the property there is a pound that is not covered.

This is such a relaxing and luxurious stay. It is clean, the host is approachable and made every request possible. He provided feed for the sheep and alpaca each day for our kids to feed them. Comfortable beds and lovely shower and bath.
